Places we fly to

A wet start to the trip with danger area D036 active to the south of the Isle of Wight and a clearance to transit not above 1500ft we arrived at Cherboug with low cloud, rain and a strong cross wind. Nice set of steps though...........

Day two at Biscarrosse and the sun shined all day which was a great relief as we had promised the wives good weather.

Approaching the ramp with the Fire Boss and Lake in the background.

In we go............. don't forget to retract the wheels.

C185 from the "Wings over Holland" guys.

Nice image by Nick showing his artistic side.

Just add that little bit of power to create a small wave in front of the floats before you make contact with the ramp.

Keep the power on and lift the water rudders....................

The water rudders........this is what you get for talking to your student
Below visiting William and his Cub on Lough Owel

With the water level slightly high the jetty is 75mm under water giving the effect of walking on water........

We had a boys day out and went to the only natural Fjord in Ireland which is at Leenaun overlooking Killary Harbour in Co. Galway.

Here we are tied up to the shore with the help of the local priest who turned up and took our photographs to put in the parish magazine.

The tide coming in after we arrived back from our meal at the Leenane Hotel. Here is a shot of the scenery as we left with the spectacular views of the Twelve Pins mountain range.
